"Scratch building" is building a model from scratch, i.e. raw
materials. Styrene, card, putty, plaster, clay, etc. are all fair
game, but any bits or pieces from existing minis should be minimal
at best. In the pure sense of the term, the model would be composed
from 100% raw materials.
One of the common
reasons to collect Tyranids is for the conversion possibilities.
While we have discussed putty and converting
Tyranids elsewhere,
now we should address a few of the amazing examples of people
building a Tyranid from scratch out there on the web.
